Data Governance Analyst

About the role

As a Data Governance Analyst you will help shape Vodafone's data landscape by improving and implementing data‑governance frameworks. You will work closely with functional data owners, finance custodians and IT teams to ensure data is documented, compliant and easily accessible.

Key responsibilities

• Promote adoption of data‑governance practices across the organisation.
• Manage workflows for updating the data library and streamline related processes.
• Collaborate with the Data Governance team to maintain and enrich the data glossary.
• Act as Finance Functional Data Officer, validating work of Finance Custodians and Stewards.
• Ensure consistency and completeness of Data Warehouse metadata, identifying automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• At least 1 year of experience working with data, preferably in telecommunications.
• Good understanding of data‑governance, analytics, visualization and data‑warehousing concepts.
• Effective communication skills for both IT and business audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and tools.

Required skills

• SQL
• Collibra or similar data‑governance tools
• Python (optional but a plus)
• SPSS Modeler (optional but a plus)
