Internal Auditor – Technology

About the role

DESFA is seeking an Internal Auditor – Technology to execute the annual internal audit plan and deliver assurance and consulting engagements, with a focus on IT/OT environments. The role involves both planned and unplanned audits, supporting the division on technical aspects of auditable areas.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the annual risk assessment and develop the internal audit plan.
• Conduct internal audits: perform surveys, risk assessments, planning, work‑paper preparation, evidence analysis, and reporting.
• Monitor compliance of organizational units with corporate processes, especially IT/OT controls, and report progress.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and the Audit Committee, and follow up on agreed actions.
• Maintain productive relationships with internal clients and facilitate audit kick‑off and closing meetings.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience providing assurance on technical/engineering areas, preferably in the energy sector.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CRISC, CRMA or ISO Lead Auditor are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ERP, including role‑based access control, access reviews and segregation of duties testing.
• Experience with data‑analytics and reporting tools, e.g., Power BI.
• Excellent command of the English language.
