Full Stack Engineer — Node.js & React

About the role

We are partnering with a leading trading and financial services firm that is expanding its technology team. The role seeks an experienced Full Stack Engineer with 5+ years of professional JavaScript experience, strong expertise in Node.js and React, to design, develop, and continuously improve scalable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable, scalable applications across the frontend and backend.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces with React and develop efficient server‑side solutions using Node.js.
• Translate business and technical requirements into well‑structured, production‑ready software.
• Participate in the design and evolution of application architecture, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Review code from team members, provide constructive feedback, and uphold high engineering standards.
• Monitor application performance, stability, and reliability, identifying optimization opportunities and proactively addressing issues.
• Collaborate with developers, product/business stakeholders, and other teams to understand requirements and contribute to project planning and technical specifications.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of development tasks, from analysis through implementation, testing, and delivery.
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture through knowledge sharing, problem solving, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on JavaScript.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience developing and supporting production applications with React and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS/SCSS, including understanding of React component lifecycle and patterns.
• Good understanding of UI/UX and information design, with the ability to build intuitive, user‑friendly applications.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs, web services, or microservices‑based architectures.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Comfortable using Git and modern software development workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a structured, methodical approach.
