Assistant Engineering Manager

About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to support the Engineering Department at its beachfront resort in Pylos, Greece. Reporting to the Director and Engineering Manager, you will help maintain the hotel’s physical assets, ensure compliance with safety standards, and uphold the brand’s high service expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily supervisory support to engineering staff and ensure adherence to hotel and departmental standards.
• Assist in maintaining the property in line with local codes and Mandarin Oriental’s fire, life, health, and safety systems.
• Help develop and implement SOPs and contribute to preventative maintenance programmes.
• Perform routine administration of the facility’s main operating systems and offer hands‑on assistance to engineers.
• Support colleague training on emergency preparedness and represent the department in meetings when senior managers are absent.
• Uphold hotel policies, ensure colleague compliance, and execute tasks assigned by senior leadership.

Required profile

• Valid EU passport or Hellenic residence permit.
• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar engineering supervisory role.
• Fluency in English and strong computer literacy.
• Construction or facilities‑management background is a plus.
