Senior Accountant – Logistics & Freight Forwarding

About the role

The Senior Accountant will be based on‑site in Perama and will oversee the day‑to‑day accounting activities of a logistics and freight forwarding business. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and guarantee compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and execute monthly and annual closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to aid business planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit processes and other statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with management to provide cash‑flow monitoring and financial insights.
• Work closely with operations and logistics teams to align financial reporting with business activities.
• Assist internal and external auditors during audit cycles.

Required profile

• Strong background in general accounting, financial reporting and account reconciliation.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance and audit procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work independently on‑site in Perama and meet strict deadlines.
• Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding or a related industry is advantageous.

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
