Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, local GAAP and company policies. This role supports treasury, budgeting and finance transformation initiatives within a multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Prepare statutory and management reports, ensuring ledger accuracy under IFRS and local standards.
• Oversee statutory and tax compliance, coordinate internal and external audits, and follow up corrective actions.
• Maintain accounting controls, segregation of duties and address control gaps and financial risks.
• Monitor liquidity, cash flow, working capital, and support cash forecasting and credit management.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting support and financial analysis for management decisions.
• Drive standardization, simplification and automation of accounting processes and support ERP changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; professional qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting, finance or audit experience.
• Proven experience in closing, statutory reporting, taxation, internal controls and audits.
• Experience working with auditors, tax authorities and professional advisers.
• Multinational, shared‑service and finance transformation exposure preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards and tax requirements.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Understanding of treasury, cash flow and working‑capital principles.
