Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the financial accounting function, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and effective control of the company's financial data. This role works closely with tax advisors, auditors and internal stakeholders to support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliations.
• Ensure statutory and tax compliance, coordinate filings and support internal and external audits.
• Maintain effective accounting controls, identify gaps and implement remediation measures.
• Monitor liquidity, cash flow and working capital, overseeing payment controls and banking activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and provide financial analysis to explain variances.
• Maintain accounting policies, drive standardisation, automation and support ERP (SAP) changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; professional qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance or audit, including closing, statutory reporting and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP and tax requirements.
• Fluent in English and the local language, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP reporting tools.
• Solid understanding of treasury, cash‑flow and working‑capital principles.
