Marine Refrigeration Engineer (HVAC)

About the role

Cool Dynamic is looking for a skilled Refrigeration Engineer / Marine Air Conditioning Technician to join its expanding operations team. This full‑time permanent position involves hands‑on work on commercial vessels worldwide, with travel as required.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration systems onboard marine vessels.
• Retrofit systems and convert refrigerants.
• Install and replace components such as expansion valves, compressors, condensers, and control systems.
• Overhaul marine refrigeration compressors when needed.
• Prepare clear technical reports in English, including repair recommendations.
• Support vessels at anchorage or while underway, adapting to vessel availability.
• Maintain high safety standards during heavy‑lifting and system handling tasks.

Required profile

• A NITEC Certificate (or equivalent) in Refrigeration Technology or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience with marine HVAC systems (Main A/C, Provision Units, ECR Packaged Units).
• Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy equipment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, global environment and handle occasional high‑pressure situations.
