Windows Systems Engineer – FinTech

About the role

Optasia is a global fintech platform seeking a senior Windows Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain its Microsoft‑based infrastructure. You will work within the Systems Engineering team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of Windows Server, Azure, and related services that support financial decisioning, disbursement, and collection.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of Microsoft‑based systems for scalability, security and performance.
• Own Windows and Azure architecture decisions and contribute to long‑term infrastructure strategy.
• Design, manage and govern enterprise Active Directory, including GPOs and identity management.
• Administer Windows Server 2022/2025 environments and Microsoft Intune for endpoint lifecycle management.
• Architect Azure solutions covering identity, networking, backup and disaster recovery.
• Act as technical authority during critical incidents, diagnosing and resolving complex Microsoft‑related production issues.
• Drive automation using PowerShell and Azure‑native tools to reduce manual effort.
• Establish system hardening, compliance standards and Microsoft security best practices (CIS, NIST).
• Support collaboration platforms such as Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer focused on Microsoft technologies.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proven expertise in Windows Server administration, Azure services and Active Directory.
• Strong background in endpoint management with Microsoft Intune.
