Software Development Team Leader – Application Support

About the role

As the Team Leader of the Application Support team at Allwyn, you will oversee the smooth operation and continuous improvement of software systems created by the internal development team. You will guide a group of specialists to deliver fast technical support, resolve application issues, and work with stakeholders to boost user satisfaction and system reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and supervise the application support team, fostering collaboration and creative problem‑solving.
• Manage and prioritize incidents, service requests and problem tickets, ensuring timely resolution and SLA compliance.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and coordinate permanent fixes for recurring issues.
• Oversee application monitoring and alerting, proactively identifying and resolving problems.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support CI/CD pipelines, deployments and environment stability.
• Maintain and enhance automation scripts and tools for monitoring, reporting and routine support tasks.
• Utilise application logs, performance metrics and telemetry data for diagnostics and optimisation.
• Coordinate upgrades, patches and configuration changes while minimising user disruption.
• Manage access controls, security configurations and compliance requirements for supported applications.
• Document procedures, troubleshooting guides and known issues to build a robust knowledge base.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management or a related field (MSc desirable).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in development, monitoring or support of enterprise software applications.
• At least 2 years of experience leading a development or application support team.
• Proven experience with industry‑standard development frameworks and tools.
