Senior Quantity Surveyor – Consultancy (Greece)

About the role

Mace, in partnership with Jacobs, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its consultancy team on the Ellinikon development in Greece. You will provide strategic cost and commercial advice across the full project lifecycle, ensuring value optimisation and robust contract administration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and advise on procurement routes and contract selection, preparing detailed procurement reports.
• Apply value‑management techniques early to maximise project performance.
• Lead estimating and cost‑planning activities, develop and present final cost plans to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage and negotiate variations, changes and claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients.
• Serve as the primary interface with clients, stakeholders and consultants throughout all project stages.
• Administer and advise on various contract forms, including FIDIC and bespoke agreements, ensuring risk management and compliance.
• Identify and implement improvements to cost‑management procedures, templates and tools.
• Prepare and present financial reports, cost forecasts and budget tracking.
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar senior role.
• Experience on high‑value mixed‑use development projects.
• Proven track record in cost planning, budgeting and estimating.
• Experience managing people and handling risk management.
• Knowledge of local contract law and ability to advise on contract administration.
