Senior Data Engineer - Data Quality

About the role

Navarino is seeking a hands‑on Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in data quality to help shape and scale its modern data ecosystem. The role sits within the AI team and works closely with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, scalable data platforms for analytics, reporting, machine‑learning and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Define and implement enterprise‑wide data‑quality principles, frameworks and standards.
• Build and maintain FAIR‑compliant datasets and data models supporting AI/ML initiatives.
• Collaborate with AI, Data Science, Analytics and Engineering teams on production workloads.
• Catalogue data assets and maintain business and technical metadata.
• Define data‑quality requirements for dashboards, models and operational processes.
• Drive best practices in data architecture, governance, testing, monitoring, documentation and CI/CD.
• Support cloud‑native, multi‑cloud data solutions and improve platform observability, reliability and security.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems or related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience in data engineering or data‑quality roles.
• Proven track record designing and managing modern data pipelines and large‑scale datasets.
• Excellent SQL skills and solid programming experience.
