Senior Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Procurement team and manage the full procurement cycle, from need identification to contract signing. The role focuses on delivering efficient, transparent, and value‑driven purchasing outcomes while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Support procurement planning, budgeting and early engagement with requesting units.
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking and contribute to sourcing strategies.
• Review purchase requisitions, recommend sourcing procedures and support contract managers throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Prepare and launch RFQs or tenders, verify completeness, and publish them according to procedures.
• Perform commercial evaluation, assess conformity of offers, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve best value.
• Prepare purchase orders or contracts after award, oversee signing and manage pre‑approval and pre‑contractual controls for co‑financed projects.
• Manage and monitor framework agreements, ensuring correct call‑off mechanisms.
• Maintain procurement timelines, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure proper documentation for auditability.

Required profile

• BSc (Diploma) in Engineering or a related field; MSc in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, offer evaluation and contract preparation.
• Familiarity with public procurement procedures and co‑financed project requirements.
