Senior Accountant

About the role

DAY GROUP, a leading property development and investment platform, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its in‑house finance team. You will own the accounting and cost‑tracking function across multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with Greek regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations for several active construction sites.
• Validate and process supplier and subcontractor invoices, coordinating with site teams on deliveries and certifications.
• Oversee cost‑center accounting in the Softone ERP, ensuring correct project and material coding.
• Collaborate with Softone developers to enhance system parameters for real‑time material consumption visibility.
• Prepare and upload daily payment batches for management approval, from certification to bank submission.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, cash‑flow reports and management dashboards.
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks and public authorities to ensure full compliance with Greek Accounting Standards and tax legislation.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of internal accounting processes and controls.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a comparable accounting role.
• A’ class accounting license.
• Strong knowledge of Greek Accounting Standards and tax legislation.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and cost‑center accounting.
• Excellent command of English.

Required skills

• Softone ERP (or similar) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Cost‑center accounting and project‑level financial tracking.
• Greek Accounting Standards and tax compliance knowledge.
