Senior Accountant

About the role

Re18 is a fast‑growing longevity tech platform seeking a Senior Accountant to own the full accounting function in Greece. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll processing, and cash‑flow management while supporting the company’s rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP (ΕΛΠ) and, where required, IFRS.
• Handle all Greek tax obligations – VAT (including VIES & Intrastat), withholding taxes, corporate income tax filings via TAXIS and maintain e‑books in myDATA.
• Run payroll and process social security contributions through EFKA and ERGANI.
• Monitor and forecast cash flow and working capital to support strategic decisions.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities as the primary auditor contact.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and stay current on changes in Greek tax legislation and accounting standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience in a Greek operating environment.
• MSc in Accounting, Finance or an MBA; professional certification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of Greek GAAP, Income Tax Code and Tax Procedure Code.
• Proven experience with myDATA e‑books, TAXIS declarations and ERGANI submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication in both Greek and English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modelling.
• ERP expertise – Epsilon Net (extra accounting) and Epsilon Payroll or equivalent.
• VAT mechanics, VIES, Intrastat and reverse‑charge rules.
• IFRS reporting and group consolidation experience.
