Restaurant Captain

About the role

As a Restaurant Captain at F ZEEN ATHENS, you will lead the dining room team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxurious, adults‑only urban retreat. You will ensure the restaurant environment is safe, clean, and welcoming while upholding the brand’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Anticipate and fulfill guests’ needs, ensuring service exceeds expectations.
• Inspect the dining room, table settings, chairs, and floors for proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safety, taking immediate corrective action when needed.
• Greet and seat guests, monitor tables throughout service, and address any concerns promptly.
• Supervise dining room staff, maintain uniform service standards, and ensure daily side work and supply stocking are completed.
• Report supply shortages to the F&B Manager and assist with opening and closing reports.
• Train new hires on service standards, menu knowledge, POS usage, and up‑selling techniques.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a 5‑star hotel environment.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Strong supervisory, organizational, and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.
• Team spirit and a collaborative attitude.
• Wine knowledge is an asset.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with cash registers.
• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
