R&D Formulation Manager

About the role

The successful candidate will lead and oversee formulation development activities for generic pharmaceutical products across multiple dosage forms, from laboratory scale through scale‑up and technology transfer at our state‑of‑the‑art R&D Center in Patras.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate formulation development trials from laboratory scale through scale‑up and technology transfer.
• Design robust formulations based on QTPP, CQAs, target product characteristics and regulatory requirements.
• Optimize manufacturing process parameters and support process optimization activities.
• Prepare, review and maintain formulation development protocols, reports and records in compliance with GMP, ICH and pharmacopoeial standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of formulation approaches, laboratory practices and development processes.
• Manage multiple formulation projects, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the pharmaceutical development lifecycle.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5‑7 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, preferably in generic products.
• Proven experience with various dosage forms (immediate‑release, modified‑release, oral solutions, ODTs).
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
