Python Developer

About the role

Intellectica is recruiting a Python Developer for an innovative technology company that builds AI‑powered environmental protection systems for renewable energy. Based in Gerakas, the role reports to the Software Engineering Manager and focuses on delivering reliable, production‑grade backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient Python code for backend services and feature development.
• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs following scalable and secure architecture principles.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis for data access, query optimization, and basic database design.
• Write unit tests, troubleshoot issues, and participate in debugging to ensure code quality and performance.
• Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Gain hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud‑based operational support.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, frontend developers, and AI specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Explore and integrate emerging technologies such as large language models and AI‑powered agents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• 2+ years of professional experience developing backend systems with Python.
• Hands‑on experience in a production environment, including deployment, monitoring, and support of live systems.
• Strong understanding of Python fundamentals and ability to write maintainable code.
• Familiarity with modern Python web frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and version control using Git.
