Production & Packaging Technician

About the role

FAMAR, a European contract manufacturing partner for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, is seeking a Production & Packaging Technician to join its Injectable Products plant in Alimos, Greece. Reporting to the Production and Packaging Maintenance Support Engineer, you will ensure the reliable operation of critical equipment while adhering to GMP, health, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure proper operation of mechanical equipment in production and packaging areas, including pumps, heat exchangers, CIP/SIP systems, sterilization autoclaves, ampoule and vial filling machines, inspection devices, and packaging machines.
• Execute the preventive maintenance plan according to schedule, complete maintenance documentation, and restore equipment after breakdowns.
• Analyze faults, propose corrective actions, and support CAPA implementation to prevent recurrence.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing machine performance and product quality.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventory levels and trigger procurement when needed.
• Manage technical manuals and ensure compliance with health‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Degree from a Technological Educational Institute (TEI) or technical school in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of industrial experience, preferably in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Required skills

• Mechanical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Preventive maintenance planning.
• Operation of CIP/SIP installations, sterilization autoclaves, filling and packaging machines.
• CAPA execution and documentation.
• Spare‑parts inventory management.
• Knowledge of GMP and health‑safety standards.
