Procurement Officer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to join the procurement team of a leading energy company in Greece. The role focuses on managing the end‑to‑end purchasing process for materials, equipment, and services while ensuring cost‑effectiveness and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely and cost‑effective purchasing.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, prepare comparison analyses, and support purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Create and monitor purchase orders, ensuring accurate execution.
• Coordinate procurement activities for CAPEX projects, technical equipment, and tender processes.
• Maintain supplier records and participate in supplier evaluation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to identify purchasing needs and align with business requirements.
• Monitor procurement costs, support budgeting, and prepare purchasing forecasts.
• Ensure accurate procurement documentation and close cooperation with Finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply‑chain roles.
• Experience with technical equipment, CAPEX projects, or industrial/manufacturing environments is a strong asset.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract administration.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset, problem‑solving capability, and results‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
