Plant Controller

About the role

HERACLES Group, a leading building‑materials company in Greece, is looking for a dynamic Plant Controller to join its Finance function. Based at the Head Office in Athens, you will work closely with the Milaki Plant in Aliveri, spending approximately one day per week on‑site to ensure seamless collaboration between operational teams and corporate finance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for the plant, aligning targets with corporate objectives.
• Monitor monthly actuals versus budget, analyse cost drivers, and identify performance gaps and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare timely reports on actual vs. budget results, forecasts, improvement programs and CAPEX.
• Evaluate, monitor and review post‑implementation performance of CAPEX projects and key investments.
• Apply management accounting principles, including costing and internal cost allocation.
• Collaborate with Plant Management, Operations, Production, Procurement and Head Office Finance to align goals.
• Ensure implementation of internal control standards, accurate financial closing, stock‑taking and reporting.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial controlling, management accounting or plant controlling, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, costing and management accounting.
• Experience with CAPEX evaluation and performance monitoring.
• Good understanding of internal controls and financial processes.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with SAP or other ERP systems.
