Planning & Purchasing Officer

About the role

Pharmathen is seeking a Planning & Purchasing Officer to support the timely delivery of plant materials for its pharmaceutical production sites. The role is based at the Pallini premises and involves close collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse planning data in SAP, adjust material requirements and communicate changes to suppliers.
• Process purchase requisitions, create and release purchase orders aligned with production schedules.
• Maintain daily contact with suppliers via phone, email and on‑site visits to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Monitor packaging schedules and take proactive actions to guarantee material availability.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on purchasing activities and material status.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in planning, purchasing or material management.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage projects effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Familiarity with MRP concepts and purchase order processing.
