Operations & Maintenance Technician – Battery Energy Storage

About the role

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Technician to support its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Larissa. You will ensure the reliable operation, monitoring and upkeep of photovoltaic and storage equipment, contributing to the company’s sustainable energy goals.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on low/medium voltage photovoltaic components and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, including repair, replacement and installation of parts.
• Secure inverter availability and meet response‑time KPIs.
• Prepare daily, monthly and yearly reports on electrical work performed.
• Work a rotating schedule of five 8‑hour shifts per week, including 24‑hour and weekend coverage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in power‑plant or electromechanical installations.
• Experience with international clients or solar‑market projects is desirable.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong communication, planning and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Electrical Installation Technician License (Group 4, Specialty A).
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
