Operations Assistant (OTT Platform)

About the role

Antenna Group, an international content, media and entertainment organisation, is looking for an Operations Assistant to join its technical operations team supporting a live streaming and OTT media platform. The role helps maintain infrastructure reliability, supports live event operations and can grow into a broader DevOps/SRE position working with CDN, streaming and NOC vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure and platform health and produce regular status and incident reports
• Support day-to-day operations of cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Monitor live event streaming health (CDN performance, adaptive bitrate delivery, playback quality of service) and flag anomalies
• Take part in incident response and escalation workflows, including Jira Service Management and on-call rotations
• Work with third-party vendors and monitoring providers on integration and troubleshooting
• Write and maintain scripts for monitoring, alerting and reporting (Bash, Python or similar)
• Help write infrastructure documentation, runbooks and NOC scope-of-work materials

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, sysadmin or technical operations role (internships or strong personal projects considered)
• Fluency in Greek and English
• Good communication skills, comfortable coordinating with external vendors and internal teams
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, live-event environment where uptime matters
• High ethical standards, fitting the company's values

Required skills

• Basic scripting (Bash, Python or PowerShell)
• Familiarity with GCP (Compute Engine, monitoring/logging tools, IAM basics)
• Exposure to monitoring tools, ticketing systems (Jira/ServiceNow) or incident management workflows
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, CDN basics)
• Interest in streaming/media technology (CDN, DRM, adaptive bitrate) is a strong plus

Preferred qualifications include GCP certifications, experience with observability tools such as Grafana or Datadog, and exposure to video streaming platforms like Brightcove. After CV screening, candidates meeting the requirements are contacted for an interview, which may include reference checks.
