Medior Data Engineer on Azure

About the role

Agile Actors is looking for a Medior Data Engineer to join our Athens team and work on Azure‑based data solutions for international clients. You will help design, build and optimise data warehouses and pipelines that support critical business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement relational and multidimensional data models (OLTP, star schemas, normal forms).
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, SSIS or Databricks.
• Write efficient T‑SQL code, including stored procedures, functions and analytical queries.
• Optimise database performance through indexing, partitioning and other techniques.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver end‑to‑end data solutions on Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake Storage.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong understanding of database design, data warehousing concepts and ETL best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Data Warehouse or comparable cloud platforms.
• Ability to solve complex problems, learn new technologies quickly and share knowledge with teammates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
