Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Production Lines

About the role

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its M Circular Metals Division in Sindos, Thessaloniki. You will be responsible for designing and supporting industrial production lines, ensuring they meet technical standards and operate continuously.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and prepare technical documentation for production lines.
• Select equipment and verify compliance with specifications and regulations.
• Coordinate project timelines, scheduling, and quality‑data analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (engineering, operations, HSE, regulatory compliance).
• Manage technical risks and provide on‑site support during execution.
• Continuously improve designs and processes to boost project performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience designing industrial production lines (chemical industry experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and electronic design tools.
• Strong knowledge of industrial standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English; additional language desirable.
• Willingness to travel within and outside Europe.
