Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Lasertech SA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team in Thívai. The role focuses on designing mechanical components and assemblies for high‑technology metal constructions and special machinery, using advanced CAD tools and supporting CNC‑based manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept designs and detailed 3D models for mechanical parts and assemblies.
• Perform design calculations, material selection and static analysis to ensure performance and safety.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, drawings and bills of materials.
• Collaborate with production and CNC teams to verify manufacturability and support fabrication processes.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or related discipline.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and machine design for industrial or machinery applications.
• Familiarity with metal structures, fabrication processes and CNC machining environments.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail in calculations and documentation.
• Effective communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork and client interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
• 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.
• Use of MS Office tools for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of mechanical design standards, safety regulations and quality management practices.
• Experience with CNC‑based manufacturing processes.
