Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

ES Systems, part of the international EFA GROUP, is seeking a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join its product development team. This position offers a hands‑on environment where a young engineer can grow by designing mechanical components, building prototypes, and collaborating across disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical parts, assemblies and enclosures using 3D CAD tools.
• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.
• Develop and assemble mechanical prototypes, supporting testing and iterative improvements.
• Perform engineering calculations and assist with structural, thermal and FEM analyses.
• Select appropriate materials based on mechanical, thermal and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, electronics and software engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure design for manufacturability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Junior to mid‑level experience or recent graduate with strong academic performance.
• Basic experience with FreeCAD or similar 3D CAD software.
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical design principles, drawings and machining processes.
• Willingness to learn FEM analysis, thermal modelling and advanced design techniques.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
