Maintenance Technician – Hostel Operations

About the role

YellowSquare Athens is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to keep the hostel running smoothly and safely. The role blends hands‑on repairs with preventive maintenance, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable, well‑maintained environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily maintenance tasks to keep the hostel efficient, safe, and welcoming.
• Identify and enforce procedures that prevent issues before they arise.
• Monitor equipment needs and place orders sustainably.
• Ensure full compliance with local safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with all departments on projects that improve guest and staff experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience in facility management or maintenance, hospitality background a plus.
• Hands‑on, reliable, proactive and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational ability to juggle technical tasks with a positive attitude.
• Fluent spoken English and Greek for daily contact with international staff and guests.
