Maintenance Manager

About the role

Barrière’s new Fouquet’s Mykonos resort seeks a Maintenance Manager to ensure the flawless operation and appearance of the hotel’s building, infrastructure and public areas. You will lead all technical activities, from routine upkeep to emergency response, while upholding the highest health, safety and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce Greek fire, health and safety regulations and lead emergency‑preparedness training.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime, especially during peak tourist season.
• Oversee repairs and upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool systems and overall facility condition.
• Monitor compliance with Legionella prevention, water safety and other local legislation; coordinate audits with external bodies.
• Implement Barrière’s sustainability policy, adapting it to local resources.
• Manage budgets, operating and investment expenses, and optimise human‑resource allocation.
• Negotiate and supervise contracts for energy, water, telephony, maintenance services and purchasing.
• Recruit, train, evaluate and develop the technical team, acting as the primary liaison with corporate headquarters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or large‑scale facility maintenance management.
• Strong decision‑making ability and capacity to handle demanding situations.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek health, safety and fire regulations.
• Leadership skills to train and motivate a multidisciplinary technical team.
