Machine Shop Engineer – CNC & Machining Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Shop Engineer to join our Volos, Greece facility. In this position you will support and optimise the operation of CNC and conventional machine tools, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output and reliable equipment performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support the operation of CNC machines (3‑, 4‑ and 5‑axis) and conventional tools such as lathes, milling machines and drills.
• Program, optimise and troubleshoot machining processes on CNC equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to the programming team, including program optimisation and issue resolution.
• Assist with assembly and disassembly of mechanical components within the workshop.
• Analyse and resolve technical problems that arise during production.
• Improve machining times and overall productivity.
• Collaborate with maintenance, welding, assembly, quality control, warehouse and procurement teams to maintain smooth production flow.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality control of parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, equipment and processes while adhering to safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a machine shop or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• CNC programming (3‑axis, 4‑axis, 5‑axis).
• Operation of CNC machines and conventional machine tools (lathes, milling machines, drills).
