Machine Operator, Ceramic Materials

About the role

Tesla is looking for a Machine Operator to join its Ceramic Materials team. The role focuses on operating equipment used for material synthesis and supporting the development of technologies for sustainable transportation, energy storage and generation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate materials synthesis equipment such as shear mixers, ball mills, muffle furnaces and tube furnaces.
• Perform ceramic fabrication processes including slurry mixing and thermal processing.
• Run ceramic material testing equipment for routine performance evaluation.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and work area to ensure cleanliness and organization.

Required profile

• Experience in powder metallurgy, ceramics, cement or related powder‑processing industries.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and operating kilns, furnaces, ovens, mills, mixers, presses or similar industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with material handling, weighing, batching and preparation of powder‑based materials.
• Commitment to safety, quality documentation and the ability to lift up to 25 kg.
