Junior Systems Engineer

About the role

MSTAT is looking for a proactive Junior Systems Engineer to support the reliability, security and scalability of its infrastructure and deployment environments. You will work alongside experienced team members, gaining hands‑on exposure to system administration, networking and monitoring while ensuring day‑to‑day operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Support backup and recovery operations and perform routine health checks.
• Monitor server performance, utilization and system resources.
• Administer and maintain IT equipment such as servers, storage, and network devices.
• Manage user credentials, access permissions and authentication systems.
• Handle first‑level infrastructure requests via the internal ticketing system.
• Assist with license management, renewals and compliance tracking.
• Maintain up‑to‑date infrastructure documentation.
• Participate in disaster recovery, automation and business continuity activities.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of experience in systems administration, engineering or related infrastructure roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Linux environments and system administration.
• Familiarity with networking, monitoring and deployment concepts.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in automation and security.
