About the role

OPTIMA S.A., a leading Greek cheese producer, is seeking a motivated Junior GL & Tax Accountant to support its finance team. You will handle daily financial transactions, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and assist with tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
Monitor and analyse supplier debit balances and customer credit balances.
Prepare and submit private agreements and related filings to the Greek tax authority (AADE).
Prepare and submit INTRASTAT and VIES reports in line with regulatory requirements.
Participate in the monthly financial closing process.

Required profile

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in finance or accounting.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
