Junior Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to support and optimise our supply‑chain activities within a fast‑paced, technically‑driven environment. The role will directly contribute to operational efficiency and cost‑reduction goals.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and track market trends for key items.
• Update purchase prices and develop an inventory‑monitoring system that balances needs, prices and storage costs.
• Evaluate quotations, approve purchases and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
• Analyse statistical data such as storage costs, purchase prices and demurrage.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and assess existing ones.
• Verify agreed prices and payment terms, and support import procedures.
• Organise action plans aimed at cost reduction and efficient procurement management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude, commercial mindset and negotiation skills.
• High level of discretion, accuracy and reliability.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
