HSE Competence & Training Specialist

About the role

As an HSE Competence & Training Specialist you will support the MRES HSE Manager in boosting HSE performance across construction projects. You will establish and standardise the HSE competence and training framework, ensuring employees and contractors work safely and comply with regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and standardise HSE training materials, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns for consistent application across projects.
• Define and govern HSE induction and onboarding processes for employees and contractors, aligning with company standards.
• Coordinate and monitor HSE training delivery to ensure full coverage, consistency and timely execution.
• Track competence requirements, training completion rates and gaps, maintaining records for compliance and continuous improvement.
• Support HSE Area Managers and site teams in strengthening safety culture through targeted training and competence development.

Required profile

• Degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, Education, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in HSE training, competence development or learning & development activities.
• Ability to design, coordinate and monitor training programmes across multiple projects.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Fluency in Greek and English and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
