Household Manager

About the role

The Household Manager will ensure the residence is maintained to the highest standards, acting as the primary liaison for embassy representatives, catering teams, and maintenance contractors. This role supports official events, daily operations, and the overall hospitality experience within a diplomatic setting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, well‑presented residence and oversee housekeeping staff.
• Serve as the main contact for embassy officials, catering providers, and maintenance contractors.
• Prepare and set tables for official meals, coffee meetings, and other formal occasions.
• Provide food and beverage service during small official events.
• Ensure all dining equipment, tableware, glassware, linens, and serving items are clean and event‑ready.
• Coordinate residence preparation for receptions and events in collaboration with embassy staff.
• Arrange meeting rooms and basic audiovisual equipment for events.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to the designated embassy contact.
• Supervise external catering teams during official functions.
• Monitor household inventory and coordinate timely replenishment of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with a hands‑on approach.
• Experience in hospitality, luxury residences, private households, hotels, or diplomatic environments.
• Basic cooking skills are an asset.
• Fluent in Greek and English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑service mindset.
• Professional appearance, high discretion, and confidentiality.
