Hostess/Waitstaff – Full-time

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess/Waitress to join our restaurant team in Athens. The role involves serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests, following service standards.
• Set tables according to event type and maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glassware.
• Answer menu questions, communicate with the kitchen about orders, allergies, and special requests.
• Record transactions using the MICROS system and present accurate checks for payment.
• Check in with guests throughout their visit to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete closing duties, including restocking, turning off lights, and securing the premises.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar hospitality role.
• Ability to work full-time, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lb unaided.
• Good communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MICROS point-of-sale system.
