Head of Accounting

About the role

Loulis Food Ingredients is seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to lead its accounting function at the headquarters in Keratsini. Reporting to the CFO, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and effective coordination of the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the accounting team, setting priorities and ensuring timely completion of accounting activities.
• Oversee monthly and year‑end closing processes and preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Greek tax legislation and other regulatory requirements.
• Take ownership of tax compliance, guaranteeing accurate and timely fulfilment of tax obligations.
• Manage accounting processes, reconciliations and internal controls to maintain reliable financial information.
• Coordinate preparation of financial information for management and group reporting.
• Act as primary contact for external and statutory auditors, supporting audit processes.
• Collaborate with finance and other departments, providing accounting guidance.
• Identify accounting, tax and regulatory risks and contribute to their management.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems and ways of working.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• ACCA qualification.
• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including managerial or supervisory accounting roles.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of IFRS and Greek tax legislation.
• Professional judgement and a business‑oriented mindset.
