Head of Accounting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to lead our finance function in Athens. You will ensure the integrity of financial operations across a multi‑entity renewable‑energy manufacturing group while supporting its continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train and mentor the accounting team, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Manage daily operations of the Accounting Department, including general ledger, AP, AR, payroll and fixed assets.
• Oversee multi‑entity accounting, intercompany reconciliations and group consolidations for parent, holding and subsidiaries.
• Ensure full compliance with Transfer Pricing legislation and maintain Master & Local Files.
• Coordinate external auditors, tax specialists and legal advisors, handling engagement letters and contracts.
• Direct banking operations, KYC reviews, AML compliance and corporate bank account administration.
• Manage accounting and reporting for bond issuances, debt financing and credit facilities, monitoring covenants and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with Greek GAAP, IFRS and tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s or professional qualification is a plus).
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including direct supervision of staff.
• Proven experience in multi‑entity environments and group reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards, IFRS and transfer‑pricing rules.
