GRC & IT Internal Audit Consultant

About the role

PwC Greece is seeking an ambitious Internal Audit Associate/Senior Associate to join its Governance, Risk, Compliance & Internal Audit team in Athens. You will work on high‑impact IT audit projects, help clients strengthen their control environment, and develop expertise in emerging digital regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform IT internal audit activities and support risk‑assessment to build the audit universe and plan.
• Assess the secure and reliable operation of complex IT systems such as ERP, CRM, SCM, and WMS.
• Evaluate internal control systems against industry standards and suggest improvements.
• Check compliance of IT operations with regulatory frameworks (DORA, NIS, GDPR, EU AI Act).
• Provide insights and recommendations using automated testing methods.
• Conduct detailed data testing and analysis, and prepare audit templates, presentations and visualisations for senior team members.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IT internal audit.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in IT internal or external audit.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Fluent in Greek and English.
• Proactive attitude, strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cloud services, operating systems, mainframes, databases (Oracle, SAP), network infrastructure, cyber security and AI auditing.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CDPSE or CCSP (considered an asset).
• Experience with data‑analysis tools like ACL, Alteryx, SAS, Power BI, QlikView or Tableau.
