GRC & Internal Audit Associate (Core Industries)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Associate to join our Governance, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit (GRC & IA) consulting team in Athens or Thessaloniki. You will support client engagements across multiple sectors, helping to turn complex challenges into actionable opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research, information gathering and analysis to address ambiguous client problems.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver client engagements on schedule.
• Apply commercial awareness and common‑sense judgment to assess information quality.
• Engage in open conversations with clients, stakeholders and senior colleagues to build trust.
• Support relationship building with key client contacts and contribute to a technology‑enabled work environment.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, internal controls, external audit or business‑process optimisation (candidates with strong motivation but no experience are also considered).
• Strong academic record with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Interest in professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA or CISA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude and a keen interest in internal audit methodologies, COSO framework and process improvement.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with data‑analysis tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, ACL or QlikView (preferred).
