Financial Performance Analyst

About the role

Heracles Group, Greece's leading building materials company and member of Holcim, is hiring two Financial Performance Analysts for its Finance function at the Head Office in Athens. The role drives financial performance and profitability through financial controlling, business performance analysis and the identification of operational improvement opportunities, working closely with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze distribution costs and operational KPIs, including fleet utilization and Own versus Third-Party delivery performance, to find inefficiencies, build optimization scenarios and assess financial benefits.
• Lead profitability analyses for selected projects and cross-segment initiatives, identify margin improvements and support business decisions through financial modelling.
• Manage recurring controlling activities such as cost monitoring, variance analysis, monthly closing support and financial performance follow-up.
• Work with Financial Controllers and business stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, develop business cases and monitor improvement initiatives.
• Build analytical tools and dashboards, improve reporting and support the automation of financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A or Business Finance.
• Strong understanding of P&L, cost structures and profitability drivers.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in industrial operations and knowledge of Power BI / Power Query is an asset.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or another ERP system.
• Strong analytical mindset, sound judgment and excellent communication skills.
