Executive Director of Advancement – North America/Diaspora

About the role

The American College of Greece is seeking an experienced advancement professional to lead its fundraising efforts across North America and key Greek diaspora markets. Based in Greece, the Executive Director will travel frequently to cultivate donor relationships and expand the institution’s philanthropic network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi‑year fundraising strategy for North America and diaspora regions.
• Track performance, maintain accurate prospect records, and produce forecasting reports.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Build relationships within Greek diaspora communities to raise visibility and support.
• Collaborate with the Vice President of Advancement on high‑potential grant and partnership opportunities.
• Represent ACG at alumni, philanthropic, corporate, and diaspora events worldwide.
• Coordinate with faculty, administrators, and staff to align fundraising initiatives with institutional priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in major‑gift fundraising, corporate partnerships, and foundation relations.
• Demonstrated ability to work across international networks and manage complex donor pipelines.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with alumni, donors, and diaspora communities.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America and diaspora locations.
