Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician ensures that all electrical systems across the resort operate safely and efficiently. Working in a luxury hospitality environment, you will maintain guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house facilities and fire safety equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs in laundry, kitchens, rooms, food & beverage outlets, public and staff areas.
• Execute preventative maintenance tasks according to the Engineering Department schedule.
• Perform electrical testing and tagging to meet local legislation and council regulations.
• Maintain room and public‑area checklists (Perfect Room Program, PAM).
• Identify and resolve potential defects to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
• Respond to fire alarm calls and support fire‑detection system procedures.
• Assist internal teams and external contractors, ensuring protective equipment is used.
• Record discrepancies and provide feedback to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Familiarity with fire detection systems, smoke/heat detectors, call points, fire hose reels and hydrants.
• Ability to determine sources of electrical defects and implement corrective actions.
• Willingness to be available for urgent tasks outside regular duties.
• Commitment to follow resort and engineering policies, including safety protocols.
