Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure the plant’s mechanical and electrical equipment operates reliably and safely. You will work on steel processing machinery, overhead cranes and related systems in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee readiness and smooth operation of mechanical and electrical assets, including steel processing machines and overhead cranes.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting faults in mechanical, electrical and structural components.
• Manage spare‑parts procurement, evaluate quotes, control inventory and optimise maintenance costs.
• Supervise fire‑safety systems and electrical installations in coordination with plant management.
• Propose equipment upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
• Communicate technical issues with foreign manufacturers.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or related field.
• State‑recognised qualification with substantial relevant experience.
• Ability to work responsibly, consistently and efficiently.
• Valid driver’s licence and, if applicable, completed military service.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical panels.
• Experience with motors.
• Familiarity with sensors.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and overhead cranes.
