Electrical Design Engineer – Steel Structures & Cable Trays

About the role

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its Electrical Utilities team in Thessaloniki. You will be responsible for creating and reviewing 3‑D models of steel support structures and cable‑tray systems for substations, power plants, and other energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications aligned with project requirements.
• Develop technical studies and detailed design documentation.
• Design and model steel support structures for electrical equipment, cable‑tray systems, and auxiliary installations.
• Create routing layouts for cable trays and conduits in compliance with standards.
• Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and support bid evaluations.
• Assist in Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design & Production Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design or engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills in an international project environment.
