Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

METLEN Energy & Metals is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its Thermal Power and HVDC division in Thessaloniki. You will support the design and engineering of low‑voltage (LV) electrical systems and cable solutions, working across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design LV equipment and review related documentation such as layouts, single‑line diagrams and three‑line drawings.
• Maintain and update MV/LV cable lists in line with design changes.
• Verify cable lengths, reconcile routing data and perform cable sizing calculations.
• Prepare technical inputs for RFQs covering panels, UPS, cables and accessories.
• Assist in bid evaluations, vendor clarifications and BOQ preparation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 1 year of engineering experience, preferably in LV electrical systems.
• Basic understanding of MCCs, distribution boards and power distribution concepts.
• Familiarity with cable lists, load lists or BOQs is advantageous.
