Electrical & Avionics Systems Engineer – Unmanned Aircraft Systems

About the role

Intracom Defense is seeking an Electrical & Avionics Systems Engineer to join its Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) team in Koropi. You will work on the full design and development cycle of fixed‑wing tactical UAS for defence and security applications.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in aircraft design, development and certification of state‑of‑the‑art small and tactical UAS.
• Develop electrical and avionics system architectures, including power generation, distribution, avionics networks and data buses.
• Define system interfaces, create block diagrams, wiring architecture and interface control documents.
• Conduct trade studies for avionics equipment and electrical components.
• Manage system‑level requirements using tools such as IBM DOORS.
• Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to produce logical, functional and physical models.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and support integration testing on ground and flight.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic, Aerospace or Systems Engineering.
• Experience with aerospace or ground‑vehicle electrical power systems and avionics integration.
• Familiarity with aerospace lifecycle standards (ARP4754, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288) and safety analyses (ARP4761, MIL‑STD‑882, ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
• Knowledge of environmental and EMI/EMC standards (DO‑160, MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461) and certification standards (STANAG‑4671, CS‑23).

Required skills

• Avionics data buses: ARINC‑429, CAN/CANopen, RS‑232/485.
• Requirements management tools: IBM DOORS or equivalent.
• MBSE tools: SysML, Matlab/Simulink, System Composer.
• System architecture and block‑diagram development.
• Technical documentation and reporting.
