Dispatcher – International Road Transport

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our transport team in Thessaloniki. You will coordinate international road freight shipments, work closely with drivers, carriers, warehouses, and partners, and ensure daily operations run efficiently, on time, and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and calculate shipment costs.
• Allocate vehicles and dispatch drivers, managing collection and delivery schedules.
• Create, process, and monitor transport and loading orders in the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Liaise with international agents, partner depots, and warehouses to coordinate loading, linehaul, and unloading.
• Plan and monitor loading activities, ensuring compliance with cut‑off times and transit schedules.
• Track shipments, proactively handling delays, route changes, and capacity constraints.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to achieve timely, cost‑effective shipments.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in international road transport, freight forwarding, or dispatching.
• Strong knowledge of import/export operations and road freight procedures.
• Proven ability to negotiate freight rates and calculate costs.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• Organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Transport Management System (TMS) proficiency.
• MS Office proficiency.
